What's Happening
Copenhagen running apparel brand Saysky and Portland-based trail shoe maker Speedland have teamed up on the Speedland x Saysky RX:SKY, a co-branded edition of Speedland's hyper performance trail shoe finished with glow-in-the-dark details on the upper strap and outsole. The unisex shoe comes in a "Yellow Flower" colorway and is priced at $299.

The RX:SKY platform is built to convert from daily trainer to race-day equipment. The spec sheet includes a removable rigid carbon plate, a removable drop-in midsole over ATPU foam, a BOA Fit System with PerformFit Wrap, a PU web outsole with 3.5mm lugs, and a stack height of 42mm at the heel and 34mm at the forefoot. Listed weight is roughly 250g (8.9 oz).
Pre-orders opened June 11 through Saysky's regional web stores, with delivery expected at the end of July; Saysky notes the launch marks the first time the shoe is available in Europe. A matching Speedland x Saysky Tech Shirt ($93 via Speedland) rounds out the capsule.
Why It Matters
This is a niche-meets-niche collaboration with outsized signal value. Speedland has built a cult following on modular, obsessively engineered trail shoes sold at a premium, while Saysky has grown from Copenhagen run-crew culture into one of the more recognizable independent running apparel brands. Pairing the two gives Speedland its first real European distribution moment and gives Saysky a credible entry into performance footwear without building a shoe from scratch.
The glow-in-the-dark treatment is more than a gimmick; it is a fashion-forward hook that pushes a $299 technical trail shoe toward the sneaker-culture audience that increasingly treats running gear as streetwear.
Bigger Picture
Trail running keeps absorbing energy, and money, from both the racing world and street culture. Limited collaborations between technical footwear brands and apparel labels have become the category's version of the sneaker drop, with pre-order windows, regional exclusives, and no-discount policies borrowed straight from streetwear playbooks.
For independent brands like Speedland and Saysky, collaborations are also a survival strategy: shared audiences, shared credibility, and a premium price point that the big footwear players rarely test outside their super-shoe lines.
