What’s Happening

RYSE has shared the first look at its upcoming Protein Shake in an authentic Fudgsicle flavor, partnering with Popsicle for the launch. Stack3d reports this will be a milk-based ready-to-drink protein shake, not another clear-format beverage, and says Fudgsicle is expected to be one of the launch flavors rather than a one-off addition later.

The clearest confirmed macro detail so far is protein. It looks like each bottle will contain 30g of protein.

Why It Matters

This is a smart way for RYSE to enter a more crowded RTD protein category. A standard chocolate shake would have been easy to ignore, but an authentic Fudgsicle collab gives the product a much stronger hook and instantly sets flavor expectations. That matters in protein drinks, where taste is often the real deciding factor.

It also fits the broader playbook RYSE has leaned on across categories: take a familiar flavor or licensed brand, then turn it into a performance product with mainstream appeal. The company has already done that effectively elsewhere, and Fudgsicle gives this shake a nostalgia angle that should help it stand out the second it hits shelves. This also marks a more traditional milkshake-style move from RYSE after previously entering ready-to-drink protein with its clear protein format.

Bigger Picture

Protein RTDs are getting more competitive, so brands need more than just a high protein number to break through. Licensed flavors and recognizable taste profiles are becoming one of the easiest ways to create instant interest, especially when they tap into nostalgia. RYSE’s Fudgsicle shake looks like exactly that kind of play.
