What's Happening
RAW Nutrition products are now available at Target stores and online, marking another major retail expansion for the fast-growing sports nutrition brand. The rollout includes a selection of the company’s best-selling products across protein, creatine, and pre-workout categories.
The initial Target assortment includes Grass-Fed Whey Isolate Protein in Chocolate and Vanilla flavors, Creatine Monohydrate, Essential Pre-Workout in Strawberry Watermelon, and Essential Pre-Workout Tingle-Free in Pink Lemonade.
The protein powders are offered in 15-serving formats, while the creatine provides 40 servings per container. Both pre-workouts are available in 20-serving tubs, giving Target shoppers access to some of RAW’s core products without needing to visit specialty supplement retailers.
Founded by Matt Jansen and later partnered with six-time Classic Physique Olympia champion Chris Bumstead, RAW Nutrition has grown into one of the largest brands in sports nutrition through a combination of athlete partnerships, performance-focused formulations, and expanding retail distribution.
The Target launch follows RAW’s previous retail growth through specialty channels and gives the brand access to a significantly larger mainstream consumer audience.
Why It Matters
This launch is another sign that sports nutrition continues moving deeper into mass retail.
Historically, products like creatine, whey protein, and pre-workouts were primarily purchased through specialty stores such as GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, or online supplement retailers. Today, major chains like Target are increasingly dedicating shelf space to sports nutrition as consumer demand continues to grow.
For RAW Nutrition, the move dramatically increases accessibility. Consumers who may not regularly shop supplement retailers can now purchase the brand alongside their everyday shopping trips, helping expose RAW to a much broader audience.
The launch is also notable because Target appears to be focusing on foundational products rather than niche formulas. Protein, creatine, and pre-workout remain some of the most widely used categories in sports nutrition, making them natural entry points for mainstream consumers entering the supplement space.
The expansion further validates RAW’s rapid growth over the past several years. What began as a performance-focused brand aimed primarily at serious gym-goers is now securing shelf space in one of the largest retailers in the United States.
Bigger Picture
Sports nutrition is becoming increasingly mainstream as major retailers expand their wellness and performance nutrition assortments.
RAW Nutrition’s arrival at Target reflects a broader industry trend where supplement brands are moving beyond specialty channels and becoming part of everyday retail shopping, helping introduce products like protein, creatine, and pre-workout to a wider consumer base.
