What’s Happening
Prime has introduced Shake + Creatine, an extension of its protein shake line that combines 32g of protein with 3g of creatine monohydrate in an 11-ounce can. Reports show the drink also contains 160 calories and no added sugar, and it is launching in Chocolate, Vanilla, and Cookies & Cream.
Prime has framed the product around its CreaShield system, saying the technology keeps creatine stable in liquid, which addresses a long-standing challenge for ready-to-drink creatine products. Social posts from the brand repeat the same core claims around protein and creatine content.
Why It Matters
This is a meaningful formulation story because creatine RTDs have historically had a stability problem. If Prime can make a shelf-stable creatine shake work at scale, it creates a much easier use case for consumers who want both protein and creatine without mixing powders.
It also shows how mainstream beverage brands are moving closer to full performance stacks. Prime started with hydration, then moved into energy and protein. Adding creatine makes the line feel more directly targeted at gym users while keeping the convenience profile that helped the brand scale in the first place.
