What’s Happening

Optimum Nutrition has officially expanded its Micronized Creatine Powder lineup with three new naturally flavored options: Mango Orange, Strawberry, and Watermelon Lime.

Each new flavor delivers the same 5g of micronized creatine monohydrate per serving found in the brand’s longstanding unflavored formula. Optimum Nutrition positions the product to support muscle strength, muscle growth, ATP recycling, and recovery as part of a consistent training routine.

The biggest change is the drinking experience. While the original Unflavored version is designed to easily stack with protein shakes and other beverages, the three new fruit flavors are specifically designed to be mixed with cold water and consumed on their own.

All three flavors are made with no artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners, maintaining a relatively straightforward approach while adding more variety to daily creatine supplementation.

The expansion gives Optimum Nutrition users three distinctly fruit-forward options, with Mango Orange offering a tropical citrus profile, Strawberry providing a classic fruit flavor, and Watermelon Lime combining sweet watermelon with a citrus finish.

The new flavors join Optimum Nutrition’s broader creatine portfolio as the company continues expanding one of the most established products in its sports nutrition lineup.

Why It Matters

Creatine has historically been one of the simplest categories in sports nutrition, with unflavored powders dominating the market for decades. As creatine becomes increasingly mainstream, however, brands are putting more emphasis on flavor and everyday usability.

For Optimum Nutrition, introducing three flavors at once gives consumers who prefer drinking creatine by itself an alternative to mixing an unflavored powder into another supplement or beverage.

The 5g serving is also important because the company is adding flavor without moving away from the straightforward creatine monohydrate foundation that made the original product popular.

The absence of artificial flavors, colors, and sweeteners further differentiates the new options as brands compete to make flavored creatine more appealing without turning it into a more complicated performance formula.

Bigger Picture

Creatine is evolving from a basic gym supplement into a broader everyday performance product, and flavor innovation is becoming an increasingly important part of that transition.

Optimum Nutrition’s Mango Orange, Strawberry, and Watermelon Lime releases show how established sports nutrition companies are refreshing foundational products through taste and convenience while keeping the core ingredient and dosage familiar.
