What's Happening

LMNT has officially expanded into Costco with a new 15-can Sparkling Electrolyte Drink variety pack, giving warehouse shoppers a larger and more affordable way to purchase the brand's rapidly growing beverage line.

The Costco-exclusive pack includes three flavors: Black Cherry Salt, Lemonade Salt, and Pineapple Salt, with five cans of each flavor. The variety pack brings together some of LMNT's most popular sparkling options in a single purchase while offering consumers greater value compared to buying individual packs.

Like the rest of the Sparkling Electrolyte lineup, each 12-ounce can contains zero sugar and delivers LMNT's signature electrolyte blend, including 500mg of sodium, 100mg of potassium, and 30mg of magnesium. The drinks are also caffeine-free and sweetened with stevia leaf extract.

The Costco launch represents another major retail milestone for LMNT as the company continues expanding beyond its direct-to-consumer roots. The warehouse-exclusive format is designed to provide a lower cost per can while introducing the brand to Costco's large customer base.

The 15-pack is available at participating Costco warehouses and through Costco's online platforms.

Why It Matters

Landing at Costco is a significant step for any emerging beverage brand. Warehouse retailers offer enormous consumer exposure and high-volume sales opportunities, making them an important growth channel for companies transitioning from niche wellness products to mainstream household brands.

For LMNT, the move also reflects growing demand for electrolyte beverages that prioritize hydration without added sugar, caffeine, or unnecessary ingredients. As consumers become more intentional about hydration throughout the day, products that offer simple formulations and warehouse-value pricing are becoming increasingly attractive.

Bigger Picture

Hydration continues to be one of the fastest-growing segments in functional beverages, with brands competing to offer cleaner alternatives to traditional sports drinks. Rather than focusing on energy or performance enhancement alone, companies like LMNT are building products around electrolyte replenishment for everyday lifestyles, endurance athletes, and wellness-conscious consumers.

The Costco launch highlights another major shift within the category: premium hydration brands are increasingly finding success in mass retail. As functional beverages move further into the mainstream, warehouse clubs, grocery chains, and big-box retailers are becoming essential partners for brands looking to scale while making better-for-you products more accessible to everyday shoppers.
