What's Happening

Khloud has officially launched Jalapeño Queso Protein Popcorn, the newest addition to its growing popcorn lineup. The flavor combines cheesy nacho-inspired seasoning with a spicy jalapeño kick, giving the brand one of its boldest flavor releases to date.

Like the rest of Khloud's popcorn products, Jalapeño Queso delivers 7g of protein per serving and is made with whole grains. The product is also Non-GMO, gluten-free, kosher, and made without seed oils, continuing the clean-label approach the brand has emphasized since launch.

The flavor initially launched through TikTok Shop and Wegmans before expanding to KhloudFoods.com on June 15, with additional retail rollout planned through H-E-B later this summer.

Khloud, founded by Khloé Kardashian, originally entered the market with protein popcorn before expanding into protein chips earlier this year. Jalapeño Queso marks another step in the brand's effort to bring more traditional snack flavors into higher-protein formats.

Why It Matters

This launch reflects the continued growth of the high-protein snack category, where brands are increasingly competing with traditional chips and popcorn rather than other sports nutrition products.

Spicy and savory flavors remain some of the strongest performers in snacking, making Jalapeño Queso a natural extension for a brand looking to appeal beyond health-conscious consumers. Rather than positioning protein snacks as purely functional, companies are focusing on familiar flavors that can compete directly with mainstream snack foods.

The launch also highlights Khloud's broader strategy of making protein snacks feel less like supplements and more like everyday pantry staples. By combining indulgent flavor profiles with added protein, the brand continues to blur the line between functional nutrition and traditional snacking.

For Khloud specifically, the release expands a product category that helped establish the brand and gives consumers another option within its growing protein popcorn portfolio.

Bigger Picture

Protein snacks continue moving into mainstream grocery aisles as consumers look for more filling alternatives to traditional chips and popcorn.

Khloud's Jalapeño Queso launch reflects how brands are increasingly using bold, familiar flavors to make protein-focused products more approachable while continuing to push protein into everyday snacking occasions.
