Hyrox has spent the last few years turning its run plus workout format into a global race series. The next phase steps beyond convention centers. In October 2026, Hyrox will run its first Hyrox Cruise, a four day Mediterranean trip that combines travel, training and a completely new race format onboard.

What The Hyrox Cruise Looks Like

The cruise will run from October 21 to 25, 2026, sailing on the Mein Schiff 4 out of Palma de Mallorca with stops in Marseille and Barcelona. Over those four days, the ship is set to become a floating training center with:

  • Five to six workouts scheduled per day

  • Specialized clinics and skill sessions

  • A unique Hyrox race format staged directly on the ship

  • Around 2,300 athletes on board, including roughly 15 elite pros

The trip is positioned as an adult only fitness vacation, with the usual cruise elements still in place for recovery between sessions.

Hyrox Experiences: More Than Just Races

The cruise launch also marks the debut of Hyrox Experiences, a broader label the company is using for:

  • Travel based training events like cruises and camps

  • Destination style retreats and resort partnerships

  • Premium “fitness vacation” offerings stacked on top of the core race calendar

Hyrox is leaning into the idea that its community does not just want a single race on a Saturday. They want full trips and shared experiences built around the sport.

Who Can Book The Cruise

For now, the Hyrox Cruise is limited to residents of the European Union and the United Kingdom because of how the ship and operator are set up. That may change if the Experiences concept continues to grow, but American and other international fans will have to watch this one from shore.

Tickets are scheduled to go on sale December 9, 2025, and early interest suggests this could sell out quickly given Hyrox’s recent growth.

Why This Matters For Fitness Tourism

Hyrox is not the first brand to experiment with themed cruises, but it is one of the first to take a fully competitive functional race format to sea. If the event works, it:

  • Adds a premium tier to the Hyrox product stack

  • Opens the door for more Experiential offerings like camps and resort weeks

  • Signals that fitness tourism has moved beyond yoga retreats and generic “wellness” cruises

For dedicated Hyrox athletes, the idea of running race intervals on a deck track and pushing sleds with an ocean view is an easy sell.
