Gym Candy started as a “what if protein gummies were actually fun to eat” kind of experiment. Now the brand is leveling up that concept with a gooey centered version that leans even harder into real candy territory while staying protein focused.

Early previews show a completely new shape and build that will sit alongside the original Gym Candy gummies rather than replace them.

From Protein Gummy Bears To Filled Candy

The original Gym Candy packs are built around:

  • 18 grams of protein per pack

  • Around 4 grams of net carbs

  • About 100 calories

  • A soft gummy texture that eats like candy, not like a chewy supplement

Protein comes primarily from gelatin and collagen, which helps with the texture and gives the candy its bounce while keeping fat and sugar low.

The new version keeps that functional backbone but adds something traditional candy has used for decades: a gooey, flavored center.

How The New Gooey Version Works

According to early looks, the updated Gym Candy piece is:

  • Shaped more like a small mound or dome than a bear

  • Dusted in sugar for a classic candy appearance

  • Built with a soft gummy exterior and a liquid or gel style filling

That filling is where the experience changes. Instead of a single consistent chew, each bite now has:

  • An initial gummy bite like the original

  • A burst of gooey sweetness from the center

  • A mix of textures that feels closer to premium filled candy than a functional snack

Gooey centers are normal in pure sugar candy, but far less common in the protein world. Pulling it off while keeping macros in check is what makes this launch interesting.

Where It Fits In The Functional Candy Wave

Gym Candy is arriving in a moment where functional sweets are exploding across the board. You have:

  • Protein chocolates and wafer bars

  • High fiber or low sugar “better for you” candy

  • Vegan and keto spins on nostalgic favorites

A filled protein gummy sits right at the intersection of indulgent and “macro friendly.” If the texture hits the way the previews suggest, Gym Candy’s gooey center line could easily become the hero of the brand.

What We Still Do Not Know Yet

Details Gym Candy has not fully shared yet include:

  • Exact macros for each serving of the gooey version

  • Full flavor lineup at launch

  • Whether the filled gummies will be sold in the same formats as current packs

Given how dialed the base product already is, it would be surprising if they walked away from that 18 gram protein and 100 calorie neighborhood by much.
