What's Happening

Ghost has officially rereleased its Sour Strips Rainbow flavor for Ghost Energy and confirmed that the product is now becoming a permanent part of the lineup.

The flavor is part of the brand’s ongoing collaboration with Sour Strips, the candy company known for its rainbow sour candy. The drink is designed to replicate the sweet-and-sour profile of the original candy while maintaining Ghost Energy’s standard formula.

Each 16oz can provides 200mg of natural caffeine along with Ghost’s nootropic-focused energy blend, which includes ingredients such as L-carnitine, alpha-GPC, NeuroFactor, and AstraGin. The formula contains zero sugar.

The flavor originally launched as a limited-edition collaboration and quickly became one of the brand’s most requested returns. The new announcement confirms the flavor will remain in regular rotation rather than functioning as another temporary drop.

The rerelease is available through the brand’s website and retail partners where Ghost Energy products are sold.

Why It Matters

Making the flavor permanent signals strong consumer demand and shows the continued strength of licensed candy collaborations within the energy drink category.

Instead of treating collaborations strictly as short-term hype releases, brands are increasingly using top-performing partnerships to build long-term product lines.

Bigger Picture

Candy-inspired flavors remain one of the biggest drivers of engagement in functional beverages, particularly energy drinks.

Collaborations with recognizable candy brands allow supplement and beverage companies to tap into nostalgia and flavor familiarity while creating products that stand out in a crowded market.
