What’s Happening

Celo Nutrition has expanded into the hydration category with two new stick-pack products designed to combine electrolytes with targeted performance ingredients: one focused on recovery and one on strength.

The Electrolytes + Aminos (Watermelon Mint) formula delivers a hydration blend with 410mg sodium, 300mg potassium, and 80mg magnesium, alongside 3g of glycine, an amino acid included to support recovery and reduce muscle breakdown.

The second product, Electrolytes + Creatine (Lemon Lime), uses a similar electrolyte base but replaces glycine with 5g of creatine monohydrate, positioning it for strength, power output, and performance during training.

Both products come in single-serve stick packs and are formulated with zero sugar, zero caffeine, and no artificial colors or dyes, aligning with clean-label trends in hydration.

The concept behind the line is straightforward: hydration is the base, and users choose between performance (creatine) or recovery (glycine) depending on timing and goals.

Why It Matters

This launch highlights a growing shift in hydration products moving beyond basic electrolyte replenishment into more functional, goal-specific formulas. Instead of just replacing fluids, brands are now layering in ingredients that directly impact performance outcomes.

Celo’s approach is notable because it splits use cases clearly. The creatine version targets strength and output, making it more relevant for pre- or intra-workout use, while the glycine version focuses on recovery and muscle preservation, aligning better with post-workout or daily hydration.

It also reflects how hydration is becoming a delivery system rather than a standalone category. Instead of taking creatine, amino acids, and electrolytes separately, products like this consolidate them into a single routine, simplifying supplementation and improving consistency.

The clean-label positioning is another key factor. As consumers become more ingredient-aware, there is increasing demand for hydration products without sugar, artificial dyes, or unnecessary additives, especially for daily use.

Bigger Picture
The hydration category is evolving into one of the most competitive areas in supplements, with brands building multi-functional products that combine performance, recovery, and convenience.

Celo’s dual-formula approach shows how hydration is being customized around specific outcomes, signaling a shift toward more targeted, use-case-driven supplementation rather than one-size-fits-all products.
