What's Happening

BUM Energy has officially launched an 18-can variety pack at Costco, marking another major retail expansion for the fast-growing energy drink brand.

The new Costco-exclusive pack includes three of the brand's most popular flavors: Blue Snow Cone, Orange Sunrise, and Root Beer. Each variety pack contains six cans of each flavor, giving shoppers the opportunity to try multiple options in one purchase.

Like the rest of the BUM Energy lineup, each 12-ounce can delivers 112mg of natural caffeine sourced from green tea and contains zero sugar. The formula also includes Cognizin® citicoline, elevATP®, and AstraGin®, ingredients positioned to support energy, focus, and mental performance.

The Costco launch follows BUM Energy's continued expansion into major retail chains as the brand grows beyond specialty nutrition stores and direct-to-consumer sales. The warehouse club format also offers consumers a larger pack size at a value-oriented price point compared to purchasing individual cans.

The variety pack is now available through Costco while supplies last.

Why It Matters

Landing at Costco represents another significant retail milestone for BUM Energy. Warehouse retailers have become increasingly important for beverage brands because they offer high sales volume, broad consumer exposure, and the opportunity to introduce products to shoppers who may not normally visit supplement retailers.

The variety pack format also makes it easier for new customers to experience multiple flavors before committing to a single favorite. That strategy has become increasingly common in the energy drink category as brands compete to build long-term consumer loyalty through flavor variety.

Bigger Picture

Functional energy drinks continue to gain shelf space at mainstream retailers as consumer demand shifts toward beverages that combine performance ingredients with cleaner nutrition profiles. Brands that once relied primarily on gyms and supplement stores are now finding growth through warehouse clubs, grocery chains, and big-box retailers.

BUM Energy's Costco launch reflects that evolution. As competition intensifies across the energy drink market, expanding into high-traffic retail destinations has become just as important as launching new flavors, helping brands reach a much broader audience while reinforcing their position as mainstream beverage companies.
