What’s Happening

Bucked Up has officially launched Drive Hydration and Refreshers, two new ready-to-drink products that broaden the brand’s beverage lineup. Drive Hydration comes in a 16-ounce can and is positioned as a hydration-and-focus product, while Refreshers lands in a 12-ounce sleek can as a carbonated functional alternative to soda or coffee.

The hard product details are clear in the launch materials. Bucked Up says Drive Hydration contains 50mg of natural caffeine, zero sugar, and electrolytes including sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and zinc. For Refreshers, the brand says each can contains 100mg of caffeine, BCAAs in a 2:1:1 ratio, L-theanine, and N-acetyl L-tyrosine, again with zero sugar and no artificial colors. Bucked Up’s new releases page also shows 4 flavors for Drive Hydration and 5 flavors for Refreshers.

Why It Matters

This is a notable shift for Bucked Up because it is moving beyond the high-stim performance identity that built the brand and into more everyday beverage occasions. Drive Hydration is aimed at people who want hydration plus a lighter energy bump, while Refreshers sits in the growing space between soda, sparkling water, and low-stim functional drinks.

Bigger Picture

The RTD market keeps splintering into more precise use cases, and Bucked Up is responding with a more segmented approach instead of trying to force one beverage to do everything. That is increasingly how brands scale in functional drinks.
