What’s Happening

Animal has officially updated its long-running M-Stak formula, introducing a refreshed version built around added performance and endurance support while maintaining its core muscle-building framework.

The updated M-Stak remains a non-hormonal, multi-complex muscle-building supplement designed for “hardgainers” and those looking to increase lean mass and strength. The biggest change in the new version is the inclusion of two clinically studied ingredients, Peak ATP and PeakO2, which are now integrated into the formula to enhance training output and overall performance.

Peak ATP is included at 400mg and is positioned to support power output, strength, and muscular contractions, while PeakO2, a mushroom-based adaptogen blend, is added to improve endurance, oxygen utilization, and fatigue resistance.

Outside of those additions, the formula keeps its original structure built around multiple complexes targeting different aspects of muscle growth. This includes anabolic support from plant-based sterones, an anti-catabolic amino complex with BCAAs to help preserve muscle, an insulin potentiating blend for nutrient utilization, and an adaptogen complex to help manage stress and recovery.

The product also retains its pack-style delivery system, with 8 pills per serving, including a removable caffeine capsule containing around 200mg of stimulants, allowing users to adjust intake depending on timing or tolerance.

Animal continues to position M-Stak as a “5-in-1” formula that supports muscle growth, strength, performance, nutrient absorption, and recovery within a single product, with recommended use in cycles of 21 days on followed by a break period.

Why It Matters

This upgrade reflects a broader shift in legacy muscle-building supplements toward performance-driven formulations. Rather than relying solely on traditional anabolic or nutrient-partitioning ingredients, Animal is integrating clinically studied compounds that directly target output, endurance, and training capacity.

The addition of Peak ATP and PeakO2 signals a move toward more measurable performance benefits, aligning M-Stak with modern expectations around evidence-backed ingredients. This brings the product closer to the current generation of supplements that emphasize not just muscle gain, but how effectively an athlete can train to stimulate that growth.

It also reinforces the continued relevance of pill-pack supplements in a market dominated by powders and ready-to-drink formats. Animal has built its identity around this delivery system, and instead of changing formats, the brand is modernizing the formula inside it to stay competitive.

At the same time, the product still targets a specific segment of the market: lifters who struggle to gain size or break plateaus. By combining nutrient partitioning, anti-catabolic support, and now performance-focused ingredients, M-Stak is positioned as a more comprehensive solution for that use case rather than a single-purpose supplement.

Bigger Picture

Legacy brands are increasingly updating long-standing formulas instead of replacing them, layering in newer clinically studied ingredients to stay relevant without losing their core identity.

The M-Stak upgrade shows how older-school muscle builders are evolving to compete with modern, research-backed formulations while still appealing to their original audience.
